The pluses: Very large room with tatami, huge hot sping bath on terrace of the room, free wifi, free tea and bottled water in room, free pick up and drop off shuttle to metro station. Friendly service. Check in is 5pm. We got there an hour early but they gave us our room anyway. The minuses: Bathroom shower had no door or curtain so water got all over bathroom. No hand soap in bathroom. Breakfast is good if you like Chinese style breakfast (I do) but if you don't (my husband doesn't) only thing western you can eat is toast with vanilla flavored margarine and jam that tasted like Jello. Bed was rock hard.

I went for the natural hot spring baths and it was fantastic. There weren't many restaurants nearby but it was okay. A night market was walking distance. I was able to go to 淡水,but the typhoon hit so I spent most of my time in the hotel. The free shuttle service was fantastic and they are so sweet. The breakfast was pretty nice too.
