Alexander Inn, Philadelphia
Everything was great except for two things: The mattress was rather hard which made it a little hard to stay asleep and the free breakfast did not have hot food choices

Beautiful older hotel that's been updated and redecorated. Staff was very accomodating to store our luggage before check in and after check out due to our flight schedule. The only thing that bothered us was the mattress was VERY firm. Probably the firmest mattress we've ever slept on.

Lovely hotel
We were greeted warmly and check in was very efficient. Discounted parking is available a few blocks away, but we did not realize that until we had already parked somewhere else. The building is quite charming, with many of the creaky quirks that accompany an older structure. The room was scrupulously clean, but did not smell too strongly of cleaning products. Bed was very comfortable and there were lots of pillows. The bathroom is perfectly serviceable and was also very clean, but it's on the small side. Again, typical of an older structure. It has the cutest little half sized bathtub, which was certainly a conversation piece, but mostly impractical. We visit the city several times a year to go to the theatre, and we will definitely stay here again. Very convenient location, easy to walk to everything we wanted to see. Continental breakfast was included and looked nice, but we couldn't resist the urge to visit a nearby cafe for their famous red velvet pancakes. We asked to store our suitcase for a few hours after check out and the request was cheerfully granted. More than satisfied with our experience.
