A beautiful tranquil hotel in ancient Assos
We had to short a stay in this idyllic B&B nestled at the top of the hill overlooking the Aegean sea and surrounded by the historic village and ruins of Ancient Roman Assos. The home made Turkish style breakfast which were extremely healthy with beautiful flavours, especially Juan's home made Dulce de Leche and strawberries, started our days with perfection.
It was great base for us to visit Troy and Gallopili and then to spend some time simple relaxing and enjoying the company of our hosts Gizem and Juan. The service was perfect, but they themselves were an extremely interesting young couple who found the perfect balance of being social yet not invasive ( a challenge for most small hotels / B&Bs).
We had beautiful breakfasts in the garden looking down on the Aegean, sunny days walking through the ruins or visiting Troy followed by wonderful sunny afternoons/evenings reading a book and sharing some wine and interesting stories.
It was perfect for visiting Assos and Troy our initial aim, but had the added bonus of providing a wonderful relaxing and tranquil environment to recharge the batteries.
