Supper friendly, knowledgable, welcoming hosts.
Stayed just the one night and was made to feel very welcome, nothing was to much trouble.

This is Not a Hotel; A Very Nice B&B
The Old School is very nice. When I booked it, the listing is as a "hotel." This is a Bed & Breakfast. That may not matter to some, but I personally do not care for B&Bs. In its favor, the owners are lovely and the area is beautiful (even if it is a bit difficult to find). If one is looking for a 4-star B&B, this is a good choice.

Lovely quiet B&B in a great location
This is a lovely place to use as a base to explore Northumbria , You do need a car as the little village has no amenities but Berwick is very close by . We stayed in a lovely room and very comfortable bed . Breakfast was very good with a choice of hot cooked to order . The hosts were great and very helpful with hints and tips where to go . They also offer discount tickets to many attractions

It is just ok.
Its is a nice place but very basic. I expected higher standard given the rate. The TV in the room was the smallest I have ever seen. The towels were old and used but the beds are nice and comfortable. Rooms are in a good size and very quiet. Decent Wifi. Vegetarian breakfast is very modest and cost cutting can be noticed. It consists of 1 egg, beans and mushrooms. We were given 1 toast each. Had to ask for the second one. The host it nice, helpful and polite but seems as if she had the same conversation with hundreds of other guests. The place is very tidy and clean. It is in a very good location if you have a car or happy to take a taxi into town. My least favorite part was early breakfast and checkout on Sunday morning. If I had noticed that when booking we would have stayed somewhere else. My favorite part was the beach close by.
