This place was beautifully appointed, each room with its own decor -- and like a doll house. The proprietress was a delightful, totally bilingual lady who went out of her way to assure the comfort of her guests.

This inn is very charming with alot of amenities, but the biggest one is the VIEW! An expansive lawn in the back with an outstanding view of the river. We stayed in the Miss Lenore room and opened our windows every morning to a beautiful sunrise over the water. Very large room with a fireplace and refrigerator and a beautiful bathroom. A nice breakfast was served in the morning to eat inside or out. Owner, Lise, was very warm and accommodating, and helped plan our activities. We did miss not having a television, but had our laptop. We would highly recommend.

    Cozy b&b

We have stayed in La Malbaie before at the Fairmount Richleiu which was nice with children. We wanted a more cozy and intimate experience this time. We got it. This is an historic b&b and it is cozy and comfortable. The host was wonderful and cheerful and provided good tidbits about the local area. The views of the bay from the b&b were spectacular. The b&b is nicely located to many outdoor activities and we went hiking. The breakfast provided gave many choices and will fill you up to start the day. This is a great place to stop if your planning a trip to the charlevoix region.

    Breathtaking views, charm and comfort

The place is absolutely charming. The grounds have a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River. No other place in town has this view. Patio chairs on the back lawn with q view of the river make sipping your favorite drink a memory to keep. The innkeeper has baskets for picnic ready to go. We instead did our own on the grounds. What we loved: Common areas such as sun room, living room with foreplace and big back lawn outside. Our bedroom was very spacious with a view of the river and nice size en-suite bathroom. The queen size bed was very comfy and plush, with crip white and clean linens. Our room had a fireplace and a portable fan (breeze comes in from the river just opening the big windows) The decor is charming and well maintained. The innkeeper welcomed us with a tour of the grounds. Ah! And q hot jacuzzi and guest towels are there to enjoy while soaking the views. There is tea and coffee (bean grinder and all) all day. They offer what we will call a continental breakfast included. During our stay there was orange juice, fruit, yoghurt, raisins, cereal, local artisan breads, homemade mini muffins, jams, pâté, hard boiled eggs. Around: From here you can go and see the eagles at Tadoussac (1 hr away), old train ride. And be back at night for the observatory. We did the whale and fjord tour with AML. The fjord part is short though. It does get cold on the boat! (it was 85 F in town!!) We will definetly be back.

Lise has taken over operating this B&b she has an excellent attitude and is very accommodating. The location is wonderful over looking the bay. The facilities are a little dated but that also gives it a unique charm. It s very relaxing and is close to many sights in that part of charlivois and La Malbaie

It's a 2 star OK but bed sheets should not be stained and have body hair. Shower curtain has mold. This is to say nothing of the exterior but it's a 2 star hotel vey much overpriced.
