Clean and safe, staff helpful. Cons were not enough supplies in Room, i.e. towels, toilet pater, etc.

Roaches and Extra Charges. Avoid this location.
I was frustrated to have to pay a $300 deposit upon checking in despite prepaying my room for 5 nights (if I hadn't prepaid I would have left the following day). I was advised upon leaving, that the deposit wouldn't be refunded for 5-7 business days. I moved to an alternate location for the second week of my stay. I DO NOT recommend this place!

Some things to watch for.
The Marlin did the job for us as we had a concert to attend at the Troxy which is just over the road. The accommodation was tidy enough and quite spacious and had all the essentials. However, be aware check in is not till 3pm and if you try and go in early they charge £30 early arrival fee. Also check out is and early 10.30 so you don't get a lot of hours for your money! You can, of course check out a bit later but they will charge you £60 for this! There is limited paid on street parking if you can get a space but no hotel car park. Staff were pleasant enough but offered no help despite us struggling with a disabled elderly person and cases etc. So, convenient and did the job, but not great customer orientated pricing or service.

Nice hotel, ok location.
Went to see a concert in Victoria Park so the location was fine relative to that. Tower hamlets is of course not the most brilliant Burrough of London but the hotel is not far from the river and the Narrow and the canal so that is something. Staff is friendly and allowed us to take a bigger and brighter room. Bed is fine and if you are lucky you get quite a view. The breakfast place next to the hotel is quite good.
