Glad to return.
Lovely place to return to and we first came here about 30 years ago. The rooms are spacious with the sleeping and lounging area separated. The bed is very comfortable. Ask for a lake view, as this is just so peaceful. It was a shame that the adjoining Old Briar's Inn was still out of action after a kitchen fire. It used to be easy to walk to this great restaurant. However, fingers crossed it will be in action again in a few more months. We chose not to have breakfast, as so many cafes nearby.

Beautiful hotel
The hotel was very nice, rooms were big and nicely decorated, very clean and a very comfortable bed. Beautiful view over the lake. Breakfast was very good and staff very pleasant and helpful. Can't fault it.

A great stay at Briars
We really enjoyed our stay at Briars, the rooms are spacious & the beds are comfortable, the views are lovely & it’s quiet & serene with no road noise. The breakfasts are generous & AMAZING (essential for our hungry teenage boys)! We stayed 3 nights and would happily return.

Lovely venue and comfortable room. The restaurant was overpriced for the standard of the meals
