Very Good 8.0
Small buy comfortable
The room we were given was extremely small as well as only having 2 full beds instead of 2 queens. We had a coffee machine in the room with no coffee, cups, creamer and sugar. Nothing downstairs. No water for us to purchase in the hotel. There was 4 of us, we requested more towels and still were not given the correct amount. Parking os ridiculous at $43 a night. Being that we are from out of town, we were not familiar with the area. Overall the hotel was decent, staff was nice even though there was only ever 1 person at the front desk so when they were busy, you had to wait a while for some help.

It was disappointing to see curtains derailed. The view was pretty with flowers on outside the window though.

The front desk employees were very nice and polite. Excellent location. The room a little small. The big problem was that the air conditioning was not working properly 🙁

Great Hotel
This is a great and affordable hotel in the middle of downtown It has a great breakfast that was free! The staff at the front desk were always friendly and welcoming. This hotel is just a short walk from the State and Lake train station which made getting around super easy. It is also a stone's throw from Michigan Ave and all the shopping. The room was a bit small, but very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in town.

Excellent service, staff, beautiful bldg. & rooms
We really enjoyed our relaxing weekend getaway stay. Our late night check in clerk was fast, welcoming and even going so far to offer us a water to take to our rooms for the evening. All of the staff smiled and greeted us each time they saw us our entire stay, from the front door to our room hallway & several staff even went so far to say we appreciate you staying with us. Our room was kept exceptionally clean by the staff as well. The bar staff was friendly and chatted with us in the evenings, sharing their local stories with us. The breakfast area was very busy at 9 am and I didn't want to sit in a crowd as I just was enjoying a trip with my daughter. It was challenging waving my room key to go up the elevator while balancing 2 coffees and a small plate of very decent breakfast food. If there were any way to at least carry the hot coffees (as it was so much tastier than room coffee) it would be awesome. I made 2 trips down to get 2 cups of delicious coffee daily because of the half and half. Also, they were not stocking much after 9:30 on the weekend as they did on Friday so, I wish it went a bit later on the weekends as it was pretty busy. Location was perfect to go to the Chicago Theatre show we attended, get to the subway, as well as enjoy some great food. Building itself was beautiful Art Deco that was a treat to look at throughout. Overall I would recommend staying here and will return again next time we explore Chicago!

I was really impressed with the quality of the room for the price. It was decent sized, very clean, amazing location, and very reasonable priced.

a "go to choice" for business or pleasure
at the "center of the bulleye" for Illinois Place/top of The Loop/base of River North, very convenient to "nexus" of "ELevated"/subway and river taxi. architecturally interesting flourishes; helpful front desk; a better than expected breakfast, guest business office; comfortable rooms; noise of Michigan Avenue two blocks away can be muted by "comp'd" earplugs. very nice place which I would term "extraordinary value".

Fair 4.0
An unhappy stay.
On day one upon entry to our room we found dirty comforters and sheets on made beds. The cleaning staff did not clean our room on our second day until we told them to do so which was after 5:30pm. Also, the staff was not very friendly or helpful during our stay.

Very loud!!!!
The noise level at this hotel is beyond loud!!!! It is right next to a very busy fire station and also a bunch of night clubs. If that wasn’t enough the walls are so thin that you can hear the neighbors crystal clear. When you check in they actually give you ear plugs. Also, the breakfast food items were not fresh.
