Hugely Disappointed
First time stay on MV. My 1st interaction was with the staff and what appeared to be the owner. No warm smiles or welcoming recognition. The blonde staff woman appeared suprised that there were 3 of us checking in. Hello, check your booking reservations before your guests arrive! Reservations were for 3 adults and 0 children. The staff called to the dark haired woman in the back room and told her there are 3 of us. The owner said that the pullout sofa is only for a child size and is not comfortable. NOWHERE on the website is that mentioned!! I asked for a rollaway bed and was told they don't have those...while the owner was walking away from me. We got to our "Two room suite w/kitchen" which looked like the pictures, but that was it! We were not impressed. We tried the pullout sofa. I would NEVER put my child on that bed. The mattress was flat, it smelled musty and lying on it you could actually feel each and every spring in the mattress. The High Definition TV was a cheap 19" Insignia tv which was attached to the cable box. We had ONLY 2 full bath towels- no extra towels or pillows. The white sliding door curtain was stained. My friend bought muffins from the Black Dog cafe for AM breakfast so we could catch the early ferry home. The house served breakfast only 8am-10am. We left the muffins in the closed paper bags and on the kitchenette counter overnight. By morning the bags were infested inside and out with tiny little black ants.

Mother's Day Weekend
My sons, my friend and I all had a wonderful stay! The only downfall was the weather. We were greeted promptly, check in was easy, and the room was clean and nicely decorated with plenty of room for all five of us. Breakfast was great and the service throughout our stay was top notch! Lisa was super helpful and resolved a heating issue for us. The young woman who checked us in was super friendly (Congrats on your engagement!). We would definitely recommend Hanover House to friends and family. Thanks for making my Mother's Day!
