Poorly Trained Staff and Unclean Rooms
CONS The hotel room is not clean -- dustballs fly all around the room, the shelves are dusty, tiles in the bathroom have mildew that constantly peels off when water comes in contact with them when you shower (this was completely disgusting). The hotel is stingy with amenities. I had an extended stay and throughout my stay at the hotel, they never gave me a new bar of soap ( by the end of my stay, the soap was soggy and gross to use). The hotel would not leave new shampoo until all the shampoo in the prior shampoo container was completely used - we had to throw shampoo, conditioner, and body wash away to get new ones. The consoles did not work. Even though the hotel had universal consoles, only the 220v consoles would work. Maintenance is needed for consoles. Poorly trained staff. When the staff did not know the answer, they would not ask senior staff members for assistance but would just say no or reject the request. PROS NIce interior. The interior is very modern. Nice location. Close to Itaewon, Hongdae, Yeoido, and City Hall. The local area itself has nice restaurants to go to as well. The subway is close and public transportation is less than a minute away.

ok but stingy hotel
room was clean. but i felt that the hotel was stingy and reluctant to refill necessaties such as shampoo, shower gel, etc. even when they made my bed every day. i stayed there for 10 nights, during which i had to specifically ask them to give me more shampoo more than three times, which was absolutely ridiculous!

Bad experience. Stinks....literally.
My first night I awoke to the smell of sour sewage. 2 hours later I was woken up again and that stink had tripled. It was unbearable! I called the front desk and maintenance person came and flushed the toilet and sprayed the room with deodorizer. He said I needed to flush the toilet correctly, using the button on the wall, not on the toilet. This made no sense to me that I had to be instructed how to flush my toilet correctly. The next morning it smelled slightly, but I started flushing the toilet every hour to keep the smell away. I went out for breakfast and then spent a few hours out shopping. I got back to my room about 4 hours later, and as soon as I opened the door a wave of stink was upon me. I couldn’t even go into the room! I called the front desk, and they sent maintenance up again. He explained to me again how to flush the toilet and I told him I had not been there all day. I asked them to change my room, but they told me there were no other rooms available. Once he left the toilet started leaking. Again, I called the front desk and they sent him back. 20 minutes later he left and I went to sleep (jet lag). When I awoke a few hours later there was ANOTHER puddle around the toilet and I called them and begged them to change my room. Finally they changed my room. Why did I have to call 4 times before they changed my room?
