Very Good
A Taste of the 1001 nights
Very good value for money for this little hotel built in an historical building from the Tunis middle ages, that give to it a taste of the 1001 nights. Hotel is situated in the medina (old oriental district) of Tunis. Very friendly people. Fair breakfast, continental style, is included, with hot drinks, yogurt, pastries, eggs, jam and butter. Bathroom is common and not in rooms, but if this is OK with you you ll enjoy the stay

Great option in the Medina
This is one of the best value stays we've had, and beats all the other options we've tried in Tunisia. Only major complaint is the Wifi, frustratingly unreliable, although if you're patient you can get what you need done. Breakfast was standard fare, but the staff were chatty and made us feel welcome. Invited to have our run of the kitchen too.

A gem in the Medina
Dar Ya is a beautiful Tunisian guesthouse located in the Medina. The rooms are well appointed, staff very helpful and the breakfast is good. It was the peak of summer and very hot but the rooms do not have air conditioning nor fans which made it uncomfortable. When booking ask for a fan to be placed in your room.
