Comfortable and well-located
This is well located, 15 minute walk along the harbour side to the town centre, and buses right outside. Good places to eat in the vicinity. The breakfast, continental style in the summer, has plenty of variety.

Pleasant stay again
This was the second time we have stayed at St George's. Last time it was being refurbished and they have done a good job. It is easily reached either on foot from the Bus Terminus (about 10 minutes) or by bus during daytime (no buses after about 7pm). We were a little early arriving but as our room was ready we were able to relax for while. The room was comfortable with comfy twin beds. The shower, although not a roomy as some, was fairly new and excellent. being at the back of the premises, it was pretty quiet and road noise at a minimum. This may be different for the front of the premises. Breakfast had been changed since we last visited and is now continental buffet style; but it was wholesome, of good quality and there was plenty of choice. The WiFi in the room was a little spasmodic, but easily overcome by moving to the restaurant area (there are plenty of comfy chairs!). All in all, despite the weather it was a pleasant stay and we would not hesitate in coming back again.

St George is one of the cleanest places ever
Would thoroughly recommend a stay at St George. It was so clean and nicely decorated. I've stayed at 5 star hotels that do not have a patch on the cleanliness I experienced here. Our rooms were tidied daily, with fresh towels supplied, bins emptied and clean tea cups. We had an ensuite bathroom which was a bit small but you get used to it. On the plus side, the room was really spacious, and cupboard space was plentiful. Nice, warm, cosy and clean. Wifi is free although very slow. I would recommend a stay here. They also let you store your bags after check out time, if you still have time to kill before your flight back to the mainland.

Very Good8.0
Remember this is a guest house not a hotel. Quite dated and old fashioned but lovely and clean. Convenient to walk into town but also a bus stop just a few metres away. Decent continental breakfast which could be eaten in communal lounge or taken up to rooms. Wouldn't suit anyone with reduced mobility as atair's are step spiral.

Things change
No one to say hello and no one to say goodbye, it use to be such a happy welcoming place. Overpriced room for what you got. Superior single, what a joke, just a hard wooden chair to sit on. I wouldn't go back and I got the impression they wouldn't much care.
