Great stay would recommend
Everything was good, the room was nice, comfortable, breakfast was amazing, you can choose what you want for breakfast & what time you want it. The only complaint was a bit of noise. Could hear other guests in the morning & one night I guess it was the furnace being loud but luckily didn't last all night.

Private bath in the lobby!
This hotel needs an up date. Every thing was a bit tatty. The worst thing was that I booked a room with a private bath and it turned out to be across the lobby from the room! I had to pay 30 pounds extra to get what we had booked. Every other hotel in the UK that we booked with Hotels.com that said private bath had one in the room. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good, but I would not recommend this hotel. This rating would be a lot lower if we had not paid extra!

Relaxing break at Rivendell Dumfries
Really enjoyed my 2 nights at the Rivendell. 1st class accommodation and breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Warm welcome when I arrived and I couldn't have been better looked after. Will be back! Thanks.

Okay place in an interesting town
The place was quite nice, but our room was small and not very convenient. Parking was good, breakfast was pretty good. The service was very good. Many great things to see in the area. If you stay here be choosy about which room. WiFi was spotty.
