it was fine but I reserved at a higher rate than was the going rate for the day that I checked in

Took a chance...Glad we did.
We were almost scared away after reading some of the reviews from past travelers. However, our other choices were to stay much further away OR pay $500 for a Bloomington hotel (due to it being an IU football weekend). We decided to chance it and we're glad we did. Our room was perfectly sufficient and totally clean. We did an extensive check of the room when we first came in and found everything to be clean and in working order. One minor thing was that the walls seemed pretty thin - our room was next to the lobby so we heard the after hours doorbell ring a few times during the night. Also, there is no breakfast of any kind (thank goodness for a McDonald's nearby) and the WiFi was really complicated (we gave up bc it seemed to need some kind of special card??). Bottom line: I would stay here again. This is a no frills, "just need a place to sleep" kind of place. It was a much better alternative than paying jacked-up football weekend rates in any Bloomington hotel or staying much farther away.

You get what you pay for.
The hotel was cheap, bed was OK, pillows overly firm, towels very thin, but the place was quiet and very clean. I would say it is worth the nice low price.

It was good except for a argument at 2am in the hallway outside of my room
