The Grey Havens Inn is a beautiful old world hotel. It was built in 1904 and perched on the edge of the sea. Down the street is Reid State Park with a long sandy beach. If you're looking for complete rest and relaxation in an old world setting this is the place for you!

Amazing! Breathtaking view!
Most likely the most relaxing place we have ever been. We only stayed one night, as this was an unintended outcome of a backpacking trip ruined by a broken foot, but we will most definitely be back! I wish we had had another day.

8/10 Very good

King size bed ... means King size bed.
The hostess and host were gracious but I didn't like them very much. I was told I could purchase an "upgrade" in my room, and have a "king sized bed". But the bed was not king sized, it was a "full" which isn't something that could be a mistake. It was hard for two grown people to be totally comfortable in a full after sleeping regularly in a queen or king. So, I was lied to. We also had a bottle of expensive wine that we brought with us, and when we arrived after a lot of traveling (from California) we thought we'd share it on the porch. There was nobody on the porch or at the hotel and our hostess came running out to let us know that the "liquor licensing" people wouldn't approve. So we put our bottle away, bought a bottle from our hostess - and then it was okay to have a glass of wine on the front porch. We were in the middle of nowhere, the liquor licensing people were definitely not knocking down anyone's doors to arrest us. It felt cheap. The location of the hotel is God's paradise and for that reason -- it should not be missed. It was just stunning and I could have sat all day on the deck and watched the colors change on the water. It's right next to Reid State Park, an amazingly solitary and gorgeous place. Would I go back? Not to a full sized bed.

Great place to stay for relaxing holiday
Grey Haven Inn is an amazing place to stay for a relaxing weekend or holiday. While the room I stayed in was not large, it was clean and perfectly decorated. It has the New England feel, and the common areas such as the large living room (with great window overlooking the bay) and restaurant are also very nice and cosy. The innkeepers were very nice too. Overall, I can highly recommend Grey Haven Inn. The view is amazing, and the front porch is a perfect place to relax and enjoy it. My only regret is that I wish I could have stayed longer.

A little slice of heaven on the coast of Maine
Eve and Dick are warm and welcoming hosts in this most peaceful and serene environment. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, uncluttered and spotless, with a lovely breeze flowing through from the ocean front windows. The view is stunning! This Inn offers a little slice of heaven on the rugged coast of Maine. Don't miss out!
