Great location and friendly staff
Absolutely wonderful stay at the Eco Domes. Friendly and very helpful staff. The location is good close to the trails and absolutely disconnected. We truly enjoyed our days there.

Truly connected with outdoors
This was the best stay I have ever had at a lodge. We were greeted by the staff as we pulled up. They took us to the dome which had the best view i have ever seen, sitting directly below Fitzroy. At night they cooked first class dinners and even went and lit a fire in your room while you eat. Breakfast was included and was delicious. It also has incredible location, with the start to the Fitzroy hike directly out the back of the grounds. Note: if you have not camped before or need complete silence when you sleep, this might not be the place for you. The domes are very comfortable and have great bathrooms, but you can hear the wind since they are made of canvas/vinyl. We loved every detail of this lodge and will recommend this stay to everyone.

Would love to go back
We had a great stay at the Eco Domes, and would love to come back someday. The domes are very comfortable and cozy. They do get quite loud when it's windy though- earplugs help for sleeping. Food was pretty good. The staff were amazing- so friendly and always willing to answer any questions and help however they could. The property is beautiful with great views. The neighbor's horses like to come running through during the day. You really feel like you're out in nature there. It is about a half hour from Chalten on a dirt road, so plan accordingly. There is access to the trail up to Tres Lagunas from the property. The trail that goes out the back to meet up with the main one is a little tricky at times, but it was really nice to just walk out the door in the morning and be on our way. Lots of other trails nearby as well. No wifi out there, so get your emailing done while you're in town.

A very special place. The only downside was a lack of hot water, but then staying in ecodomes you might expect this. Their service was above and beyond and the location is unbelievably gorgeous.

Rustic glamping experience
The Patagonian Eco Domes is a very interesting place to stay. Our dome had an ensuite and was a generous size. The bed was comfortable and there were seats in the room. The dome quickly got chilly when the fire burned out but it was particularly cold and windy when we stayed. There was no wifi or TV at the property so it was a total digital detox for us! The location is quite remote, being approx 15km down a gravel road from El Chalten. It's possible to access hiking trails directly from the domes. We ate in the restaurant both nights as we didn't want to drive into town in bad weather. Whilst our dinner was only ok, it was very expensive at 500 pesos for what was basic rustic food. Overall, this is certainly a glamping experience - high end camping at hotel prices. Staff however were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Overall it was an interesting experience, we were just unlucky with the weather.
