Spectacular location and accommodations! The staff was helpful and friendly and we will be back soon. One thing though. I was not sure how to work the coffee machine. There were no instructions.

Pricey for winter slow season
Fantastic lobby areas not matched by guest rooms, which were a little cramped. Bathroom had no exhaust fan; bedroom had no mirror. Had to move furniture to plug in cell chargers. Hotel had few guests in mid-January, but we were put in a smallish room with no view. No complimentary afternoon coffee and cookies like during high season. Hotel alternated closing restaurant one night with tavern the next night because of low occupancy. Great bartenders, though. Take your drink to enjoy before the huge lobby fireplace in big comfy chairs, or over to the clubby library to play chess, backgammon or do a puzzle. The experience may be better during summer and fall high seasons. Great in-town location, with complimentary shuttle.

Luxurious and expensive hotel.
Excellent hotel and staff. My only complaint is that the beds were so high off the ground that I had difficulty getting in and out of them.

We had a nice stay. However, the Inn is not quite worthy of the 5 star price that we paid. The rooms are a little dated and the amenities a little lacking. It's still the best choice in or around Woodstock.
