The hotel is a five minute walk from the airport, which is great. it's literally straight along the only road from the airport, so you can't miss it. The down side for me was I had got to san cristobal by ferry, arrived soaking wet (Note: Ferry in Galapagos actually means a small powerboat, for those thinking otherwise) and teeth chattering. Sadly, there was no hot water that evening to warm me up, or the next morning when I woke up.Also, the breakfast was pretty meagre. I paid almost $50 for the room so was a bit disappointed. The hotel Paraiso Insular is right across the road, only $30 a night and has hot water...my guide from our cruise had recommended it to friends but I'd already booked ahead so had to go to the Mar Azul. Although the staff were very helpful, I wouldn't recommend it for the reasons listed above. Two friends also stayed at the Hostal Terito on the other side of town, and paid $20 each for a large, pretty nice apartment, also with hot water. It's worth shopping around I would say, as I think you can get more for your money.
