Folkestone Inn, Bryson City
Excellent stay
We love Bryson City. Our hosts contacted us ahead of time and did a great job during our stay. The breakfast was fantastic. We were especially appreciative of their care with my wife’s need for gluten free food. Highly recommend.

Charming and relaxing
The entire experience at The Folkstone Inn was fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised that the majority of the other guests were very friendly and interesting to meet and converse with. The hosts were very informative about the area and made excellent suggestions to help us enjoy our stay. The breakfasts were top-notch, and fresh cookies and tea were available every afternoon. The house was set up so that we were able to hang out and play games, listen to music, chat with others or we could go to the quiet of our own room and be alone. There was an outdoor firepit (very beautiful) with an endless supply of wood and starters for whenever we felt like hanging out outdoors. While I felt like I was a guest in a beautiful country estate, there was no pressure to interact. I would most definitely recommend the Folkstone Inn and plan to return someday.

Very Good8.0
Nice stay. Only minor improvements suggested.
Nice getaway. Great food. Fun city. Nice for outdoorsy activities and sightseeing. Wonderful location. Bathroom is tiny. Clawfoot bathtub is cute but cramped. I’m only 5’4” and needed to crouch under the shower head. Water did not all divert to the shower head either, letting much of it run out the lower faucet and affecting water pressure. Might consider replacing that hardware. Tricky shower one morning with intermittent warm water since others were showering at the inn also. Such nice people. Lovely home and land. Comfy bed.

Charming and peaceful. Great facilities.
Might be a repeat, but here goes We loved this place. The family that runs the Inn went out of their way to make us feel at home, from arriving late the first night, to checkout. The grounds are beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful. The food at breakfast was yummy, better than any cafe or restaurant. This charming old home has a peaceful southern charm. We slept with the door open to hear the crickets and chickens all night, country peace. This solid old gem made me think of my grandmothers home growing up.
