Ok hotel!!
Check in was great & quick. The room was clean, could use some updates & not having air conditioning & only a fan was miserable. The bathroom sink is way to small & would be easy enough to replace. Overall it was just ok. We expected better.

Convenient location
Nice convenient place to stay. Parking is available under the hotel, we had a trailer so found parking on the street right across from the hotel. After a long dusty drive, we were happy to find a coin-operated car wash across the street too. While there are other hotels with water views, this hotel was reasonably priced.

Showing its age
This hotel has a central location and helpful staff, but it is clearly showing its age. Although the foyer has been modernised, the upstairs rooms are dreary with a shabby appearance, worn linens and sticky carpets. The shower in my room was not working and there was nowhere to leave toiletry bags. The room's Keurig machine provided only cheap coffee substitute. On a more positive note, breakfast was reasonable and staff kept the breakfast room well-supplied and clean. Unfortunately this hotel reflects the general air of decline seen in the town and I would not recommend staying here.

Okay but certainly nothing special. Front desk reception left much to be desired.

Reasonable accommodation. Wifi issues in my room on the second floor at the opposite very end of the building to reception. Nice above average continental breakfast.

Basic budget hotel
Your basic budget hotel. Bed were comfy, but no AC in the room. All vending machines were out of order. The breakfast was tragic, cereal, toast and some fruit juice

Waste of $
Old hotel, rooms at the back, back on to a path used by people drinking. Noisy form 2am-5am. Not worth the price, never again! Better off staying inTerrace for that extra night.

Exceptional 10.0
Great hotel with large comfortable bed
This hotel is very unassuming from the outside, therefore the room was a great surprise. It was very large, had an extremely comfortable king size bed, was clean, quiet, and well located. The free breakfast was pretty basic ( bagels, toast, cereal). We could easily walk to the museum, Cows Bay with it's cute shops, etc. There was a large grocery store right next door as well as a Safeway a few blocks away ( which opened early and allowed us to pick up groceries before we got on the ferry to Haida Gwaii). It also had free underground parking.

Beds are too soft for our comfort. Very hot , no air conditioning.
