We received wonderful and generous service at this quaint boutique hotel. The rooms were very clean and we appreciated the location and surroundings. Right next to the cathedral, we were able to admire the stained glass windows light up at sunrise and enjoy the bell tower chimes to call out the time. We had an early departure for the airport before the scheduled breakfast hours. Jennie and kitchen staff were gracious enough to open 45 minutes early for my party of seven to have something hot to eat before our day of travels- super service.

Surprising across the board
We stayed just one night coming back from Sapa and on our way to ha long bay. We really just wanted to stay in that area and needed a bed between destinations, so we looked for a low price. Wish we had stayed here the other 6 nights we were in Hanoi. Simple place, staff was great, the two ladies who make you breakfast in the morning make it feel more like a Bed and breakfast than a buffet. Room was big and perfectly addiquate. Just wonderful for the price and can’t say enough about the location, the area around st Joeseph’s cathedral is great.

Great Place to Stay in Hanoi
This hotel offers it all even though it is not a big glitzy place. In the Old Court Section of Hanoi it offers everything that you need. Great Service, breakfast included, friendly staff, great location, free wifi and just minutes off the busy streets.

I would recommend this property over any other for service and location. The rooms and property is clean and comfortable. The service is OUTSTANDING. Jennie, hotel manager and Haong( not sure spelled her name correctly) catered to MY EVERY NEEDS. The breakfast is great where you can order pancakes, French toast or Traditonal Vietnamese breakfast. You also have assortment of local fruits with juice coffee and tea. This is included in the price of the room. The service for breakfast was very friendly and efficient. Restaurants , bars and shopping is right outside the front door. The surrounding area is very safe. The church and lake is within a safe walking distance from the hotel.

We love our stay at Iris hotel. Everyone here is really friendly and willing to go out of their way to help us. We feel like we are their guest not a customer. The room is simple but comfortable and spacious. We had a chance to stay at other hotel on our last night because we change our plan in the last minute to stay in Hanoi instead of doing a last night on the cruise in Halong bay. The owner help us find another hotel because her hotel was fully booked. She made sure that our stay at the other hotel went well. Compare the two hotel and find that Iris is way better between the two with the same price range. They both run by a group of young people but Iris is more organize and more friendlier. I would highly recommend this hotel.
