Hotel is nice but a little worn (rust in shower, crack in sink and vanity). Rooftop bar has amazing views. Hotel restaurant menu is pretty limited and they don't keep the bar stocked- I have never seen a bar run out of Jack Daniels before

Good for the price considering the location.
We chose the Troubadour because of the location and the price. The desk staff was very friendly on checkin. The hotel seemed clean as a whole. The room was a little on the small side, but that suited us just fine. We don't need a ton of room just for a place to relax and sleep. Loved the bathroom and shower however. The room was decorated nicely....a little on the modern side. There was a high school prom on the top floor that night. Again didn't bother us much, except that the restaurant in the hotel was not serving anything but wings so we had to go elsewhere to eat. That would be my only complaint. The view wasn't much, but again, it is down town New Orleans and surrounded by other buildings.
