Great location, clean rooms
The rooms are small, but clean. The location is perfect. Steps from Jaffa Street and about a five minute walk to the Old City Gate (Jaffa). You check-in at the market next to the hotel, but the staff are friendly and helpful. It's also convenient to have a 24/7 shop with everything you need next door.

A winner
Great, safe location and clean, modern rooms. The AC worked great. There is no lobby or front desk; you check in at the 24/7 convenience store/market around the corner. The staff was very nice and helpful. There were a couple of minor problems: the hairdryer was missing and the hot water takes a few minutes to heat up, but the clerk at the market got everything straightened out for us. We stayed during a major holiday, so it was a bit noisy in the room. We couldn't tell if the bass thumping through the walls all night was from a night club or the temporary outdoor stage set up for the holiday. But that is the price one pays for being directly on the main street and ear plugs kept it at a manageable level. You are surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs, and are only about 10 minutes walk from Jaffa Gate to the Old City. The tram stop is steps from the hotel. The neighborhood has a very cosmopolitan feel to it. The room is small, but you shouldn't be spending much time in your room in this neighborhood; you'll want to be out and about. We would definitely stay here again.

Never again
There is no reception, so you have nowhere to wait or rest when you need to check out at 12 and you need leave the city sometime later. There’s a weird sickly sweet smell in the room and the bathroom (the bathroom door swings so doesn’t close completely) faces the bed directly which was extremely irritating to me. You can pick up and drop your keys in the 24 supermarket ( which is the makeshift deception ) which is extremely unprofessional. Right in front of the hotel there’s a broken pipe so there is a constant drip of water from above and therefore the front of the hotel is yucky. The hotel is very close to many eating places and fairly close to old Jerusalem. The room and bathroom were clean. WiFi works. Way too expensive for what you get.
