Great hotel and breakfast
The Devonshire Club is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. I've stayed here a few times and have always gotten great service. The hotel rooms are clean and modern. The free breakfast is outstanding and the wait staff is very nice. The hotel is close to the Liverpool Street Underground and Aldgate Underground. If you're staying for business or for leisure, the Devonshire is the place to be.

Excellent find! A true jewel!
Location was great and the people at the hotel were attentive and friendly. The doorman, Peter Fennell, was so helpful and a true delight! Would highly recommend this hotel.

Great stay
Repeat visitor at Devonshire Club. If the area is convenient for your purposes (near the City, near Liverpool Stn), this place is the best choice. Furnishings well appointed, very nice amenities (including the gym!). The only reason why this stay was not perfect: got back to hotel late on Saturday night and the full 24 hr room service menu was not available due to an issue with the kitchen. (Only cold foods possible on a blustery winter night.)

Bland but comfortable.
Good location if you need to be near Liverpool street but not much happening in the area. Quite a bland hotel room. Overpriced considering you can get much funkier and stylish hotels in the centre of soho for the same price. Wouldn't stay again.

Style over comfort & service
Not sure I would consider this a 5-star hotel. It is beautifully decorated, and the lounge areas are especially unique. However, the rooms are extremely small. I requested a king size bed, and the reception desk made it seem like I was being upgraded somehow. But, when I got to the room, it was queen size, if even that. Small bed for 2 people. I called to confirm and they assured me it was king size (it was not). Barely any room to move around. Bathroom was tiny, and part of a light panel fell off in the middle of the night. You can tell that this was a 2 or 3-star hotel previously, and they are trying to turn it into a 5-star "boutique" hotel. Also, I requested extra pillows and bath towels, and it took asking three times throughout the day to finally get them in the evening. When they did arrive, bath floor mats were delivered instead of towels (who would ask for extra bath mats?). This place definitely has the attitude and exclusivity of a 5-star hotel, but doesn't back it up with superior service or adequate facilities. Definitely not worth the price we paid.
