Good place to visit the hot spring experience
The checkin was smooth. The room was a bit small but it was quite comfortable. The bathroom was good but the shower stall was not clean and the drain sieve was broken. The hot spring pool was very good but unfortunately was for 18+ only. So something to keep in mind if travelling with kids. The restaurant in the hotel was quite good.

Very disappointing.... definitely going downhill
We were really disappointed in our stay here and will not be coming again. Part of it was not the fault of the resort... air quality was very poor due to fires in the area, so we were unable to enjoy any of the outdoor activities... hiking, hot springs, even dog mushing rides/kennel tour as the dogs were not being run due to air quality. (We ended up leaving a day early as we felt it was hazardous to our health. ) The ice museum was closed as the heat had caused basically a partial roof collapse. Not the fault of the resort. But we were most disappointed in the room. It was small and stuffy and hot. When we started putting our son to bed we noticed brown soiled spots on the sheets that went through the sheet into the mattress cover underneath. My husband went to the desk and they moved us to another room nearby. That second room was missing window screens so we could not open the window for ventilation due to mosquitos, had a fan plugged into an outlet that did not work, so we pulled out the dresser from the wall and had to use an outlet behind it that had no outlet cover on it. a real safety hazard! The light and fan in the bathroom were on permanently and would not turn off but ran all night, the wall switch was completely inoperable. Not conducive to sleep. No tub, only a shower. (The next day we were told by the front desk that the stains on the sheet were actually burns from the dryer, which makes no sense why they went through to the mattress cover?) Resort??

Ehhh Stay
The Wifi was almost non existent, but online lists that it is available. Only for a few each day! The service in their restaurant was terrible. Food was decent, but wish it had been better considering how long we had to wait for it. Hot springs and locker rooms were fantastic. Ambiance wasn’t as relaxing as we had hoped. The rooms were small and barely accommodated 2 people in a 4 person room. The ice museum at the resort was fantastic. The bartender, Tom, was the best part about the entire weekend!

Feel like you step back in time 50 years. There is definitely room for improvements and could use a remodel. The Ice Museum was fascinating and the tour guide was wonderful and such spunk. The food was decent but I didn’t find the restaurant staff friendly.

6/10 Good

There is only one restaurant on the premise and they charged an arm and a leg. Hot springs was nice but there were lots of people. Guest was told to shower first before going to the hot springs but there was nobody enforce it and obviously nobody did. Hotel room was old. I stayed for 2 nights and there was nothing much to do except hiking. Cabins and beds are old. No house keeping service and I saw the sign when I checked out that housing keeping service is upon request. I would recommend no more than 1 night. The ice museum is nice but it's small.

The property is very quiet and rustic. The hot springs was kind of slimy and stinky of sulfur but the water was very warm which felt great. The rooms were nice but the hallway to the room was like a sauna. Not many food options so be sure to take snacks.
