Nice stopover
Road construction made acces more difficult than it should have been. The person at the check-in desk seemed a little disinterested and cool. Otherwise, the experience was very good. The room was nice, clean & spacious. The complimentary breakfast was good. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice room, but noisy lounge patrons, leaky ceiling
The hotel is convenient to I-40 and the condition of the rooms is pretty good. The bed was very comfortable. My room was an accessible room and that implies a mobility issue, but it was 16 rooms away from the elevator which makes the long walk very uncomfortable. That is not very accessible. It rained hard that afternoon and evening and my room developed a leak in the ceiling (on the top floor) and soaked the patched area (so it was not a new issue), dropping the plaster into the light box above the sink and dripping water on the fixture and onto the counter and floor. Not a safe environment. I changed rooms and it was better, although just as far from the elevator. This hotel also has a lounge and several residents were partying it up fairly loudly, as I was trading room keys with the front desk. This is a terrible idea for a hotel/motel that is supposedly family friendly. It means when the lounge closes, the patrons noisily return to their rooms, slamming the heavy doors in the process, just about the time other residents are dropping of to sleep. I heard many loud voices and slamming doors on my floor and finally got to sleep after the last door slam about 12:45 am. After the leaky bathroom, the hassle of changing rooms, and the noisy inebriated lounge patrons, it was a terrible night's sleep. I will not return to this hotel ever.

Mystery of the missing room
We have stayed in Comfort Inn's on multiple occasions, this particular hotel didn't meet the level of cleanliness we have come to expect from this hotel chain. We should have figured there might be a problem when we first went to the room and the suite number was missing. Might be a good thing if we were in the Witness Protection system, but that not being the case, we got into the room only to find that there were no Kleenex in the bathroom, nor had the tub been cleaned recently as there was evidence of shampoo running down the side of the tub. There was also evidence that the room attendant must be short because there was a good deal of soap scum left on the granite walls surrounding the tub. The counter where the tub was located, had a shelf that was missing some of its shelf supports, so if anything upset the balance of the items on the shelf, it collapsed. The room its self was clean as were the beds. Not happy with the alarm clock either as about 12:57 AM it decided to sound its alarm, so either the cleaning person had accidentally set it for us or it was booby trapped, it sure ruined what would have been a really nice sleep.
