Very secluded. Luxurious. The perfect place to get away from it all. Very friendly and helpful staff
Lovely resort. The island is untouched. The food was very expensive because everything is imported. Eat well during the free breakfast. It is absolutely beautiful though and largely untouched. No crowds. The mini-plane was scary at first I do not suggest if you are afraid of heights, but it was short 18 min only. It does get windy at night and you can hear everything!!! If you are a light sleeper I suggest noise canceling headphones or ear plugs.
It is very quite and clean. Staffs are all very friendly. Our waitress Pema and coast lifeguard Justin are extremely impressive. If you want a peaceful place to relax. That is a good place to go!
Sailrock is a place of splendid beauty. If you are looking for a loud, kid-filled, get away - Sailrock is not the place for you. If you want a quiet, peaceful, isolated retreat with staff members who have only your concerns in mind, Sailrock is your dream destination.
The property, staff and food were outstanding! If you’re looking for a VERY secluded island, this is it! We had the entire beach to ourselves most days. It actually felt as if you were stuck on a deserted island. Not much to do outside of the resort so I’d recommend 3-4 days MAX! If you and your loved one wanna feel like you’re the only two people left on the planet but with butler service, sailrock will deliver. We loved getting away from all the hustle and bustle. We had two major downfalls, the first was that we never received an email that told us there are only TWO island hoppers a day, one at 8am and another at 5pm. Our flight was at 11:30am and we didn’t expect to have to wait around. When we mentioned it to Leny, the manager, she said they did send the email and I verified that the email was correct but I unfortunately didn’t receive that email until I was connected to their WiFi and refreshed my inbox. So it was on my end that the email didn’t come through however, they didn’t care to accommodate us in anyway due to the miscommunication. Not a big deal but it was a bummer to start our vacation that way. Secondly, perhaps it was during the time we went, but the mosquitoes were out of control, we were there for two full days and used 4 cans of off bug spray which they provided to us. They said the mosquitoes were seasonal and due to the recent weather changes but it’s not typically buggy.
Sail Rock is an amazing property on South Caicos. The prop plane flight 30 minutes south of Providenciales was a first time adventure for us as well. The ocean side as well as the bay side of Sailrock is breathtaking. There are activities at the resort if you choose to enjoy them, however, our goal was relaxation, and we accomplished that. Our first day at Sailrock, we spent the day on the ocean side and were literally the only 2 people on the beach. You can walk about a mile in each direction on the beach as we did, and still saw nobody. If luxury and seclusion is what you’re interested in for a vacation, Sailrock is the perfect getaway. Also, the service at Sailrock is outstanding as well. Ateba and our waiter Lalu went above and beyond to make sure our trip was 5 Star!
From the moment we arrived and were greeted at the airport to our big sendoff at the tiny South Caicos airport we were treated like royalty... like we were the most important guests. The villas are absolutely stunning - complete with private pool, private beach, indoor and outdoor showers and tubs. The appointments are all upscale beach appropriate. Honestly, i couldn't imagine anything nicer for a week of relaxation, blue water, friendly people and amazing food. Unspoiled and unbelievable. We can't wait to go back. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise and making our 25th anniversary trip so special.
Words cannot describe this awesome place, the best resort we’ve been to. We stayed at one of the villas and it was worth the extra money. I want to go back now!
Sailrock has some positives and many negatives depending on your point of view. The positives are amazing views from your room, clean modern rooms that are well appointed, wonderful deck and patio chairs. Good food only at the bay beach bar. It is the best food on property in our opinion. Negatives - bay beach is absolutely beautiful to look at and take pictures , but that’s where it ends. They don’t tell you there at jelly fish everywhere !!!! The bay was made by sailrock so the soft white sand quickly turns into mud about 20’ feet out even though it’s shallow for miles you wouldn’t want to walk in it because of the mud and jelly fish. The Atlantic side beach is very rough which they don’t tell you it has a decent rip current that could drag you out. The tractor they use to clean that beach was broken during our stay so it was always full of seaweed which was disappointing FOOD- food for us was a major negative especially since we read it was so great. small portions that are bland and extremely overpriced. The service at sailrock is an issue. The staff aren’t local people they are imported from other countries which we found odd and offensive since they do not support the local economy. Many of their staff are from Middle East and Asia and don’t speak English very well. Some of them are down right rude. They lost our luggage the day we checked out, never delivered our dinner one night etc..for $800 a night it’s joke. The place is all show but doesn't ever deliver !!!
OMG this place was amazing. Staff went above and beyond anything we could have expected. We got married at the resort and Tikeria and Stacy-Ann made our wedding fabulous and totally memorable. Deo, Jerom, and the rest of the staff catered to our every need with pleasure. If you asked.. they made it happen. The new manager Marvin was greeting us every morning asking what else they could do to make our stay better! The staff is great to joke with and very personablel. We had lots of fun with them. Our stay could not have been better!!! From the minute we landed to the second we left was complete top notch service. The rooms where absolutely mind blowing with out door showers and soak tubs to your own private pool. Both the villa and condo have great views of sunrise and sunsets. pool and gym open 24 hrs!!! The place is very safe and no crime or drug problems like some islands have, so leaving your sliding deck door open all night to hear the ocean waves is a must! walk the beach and have it all to yourself most of the time or maybe see one other couple. no reason to get up early and run to the beach for a chair, they have plenty and they never get full at all. the island where the resort is at is only about 1/2 mile wide and you have a beach on both side to enjoy some small waves or the other side for calm smooth water. make sure you get a massage, it s the best massage we every had! We will be back next year for our one year anniversary!
