Awesome first experience in Roatan!
Amazing experience! West End is the cutest little spot. The Beach House has amazing staff - so helpful! Shout out to Alex our driver for all the professionalism and great tips on activities and restaurants. Ashely at the front desk was so nice!! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Highly recommend!

Repairs made on the room next to ours from 8 am to 5 pm. Absolutely no way to escape the noise. Property management did not disclose any of this.

For the West End, this is a nice upscale hotel and it's right in the middle of the small area, so a great location. Service from everyone was OUTSTANDING every one of the 4 days we were there. Every request was assisted with tremendous friendliness and help. Kate the owner, Loany and Henry were particularly helpful. Some suggestions- we ate breakfast there 4 times and lunch twice. The food was outstanding, but the flies were overwhelming. Quite honestly, it was disgusting to see bunches of flies sitting on the open cream cheese and peanut butter in their morning breakfast dishes! Cover them with Saran Wrap or something else for crying out loud! (Flies were found in many places in Roatan). Our room facing the beach was very comfy, but the sheets and coverlet had stains. My guess is that bleach is not used to clean them. Water temp in the shower constantly fluctuated, but hot water was available most of the time.

Overpriced but nice
Cute little property. However, I did not feel it was good value for money, based on the condition of the room and bathroom, noise levels, food quality, and service. We went during a busy period and it was perhaps more pricey than usual. The service was consistently outstanding at front desk, but otherwise left a lot to be desired. Daytime security guy was downright rude at one point, and we didn't really do anything wrong. Maybe it's in his job description to be mean? Also one of the bartenders (Marco?) was awesome, the other needed some customer service training. Breakfast was OK - only bagels, no other kind of bread. The rest of breakfast was OK, eggs to order, cereal, and some fruit and yogurt. Supposed to start at 7am, which we needed for our day trip, but everyone is on island time. Evening time, we thought the restaurant was way overrated and overpriced as well as slow. Other options close by are better, but again, slow service (2 hours for dinner is the norm unless you go to a fast food place). The location was nice - beautiful sunsets! But it was a bit noisy/busy as on a public beach and watch out for the elephants stomping overhead if not on top floor! But you could walk to many places, and we liked the village feel of West End/Half Moon Bay vs in West Bay ($3 pp water taxi) it was big and resort like. Wifi spotty in our room. I would go back to Roatan but probably would try something else at these prices.

Perfect treat!
Wonderful! Charming, small, attentive staff above expectations. Staff very accommodating, helpful & friendly. The location is amazing...ON the beach with overlooking veranda off first floor rooms. A little expensive...but worthwhile splurge!
