Casitas El Salitral, El Pescadero
Huge disappointment and false advertising
At the time of our stay, this was advertised as a bed and breakfast that included: tour/ticket assistance, concierge, bar/lounge, coffee shop/cafe, room service, bottled water, premium bedding, minibar. It had none of those amenities or services, AT ALL. This was essentially a surprise camping trip. The roof is a thatched style roof and is relatively open to the outside, which isn't a problem in terms of weather (which is always beautiful in baja) however the owner has about 12 dogs on the property who howled all night. If we left our door open for even a second during the day, the dogs would run into our room. There was no hot water so showers were freezing. The bathroom didn't have a wall that went floor to ceiling, meaning the toilet was relatively open to the living space, so you can't really use it with other people in the casita, they'll need to go outside if you're doing your business. We tried talking to the owner (language barrier) but he essentially let us know that if we wanted food (that was advertised), we'd have to find a grocery store and cook it ourselves. What was served to us in the morning was coffee in a thermos and some stale pastries. We really, really wanted to love this place, but it was really just awful.

Quiet and relaxing place
The casitas El Salitral is Eco Cabbin due to there is not air conditioner and the electricity is solar, however with only the fan is enough to feel fresh at night. The Casitas are really nice and colorful cabbins and is a hidden gem due to is not far from the beach, is a quiet place and the staff is really friendly. We enjoyed so much this place and are thinking to go back in the future.

Yes, we would bring the family back here!!
This place is crazy amazing. Casita is extra cimfortable. The price is right. All the towles and sheets, ect, are soft. Manuel, the owner, is on site. He fix anything & he is super helpful. I feel like my kids are safe playing outside. It would be most helpful if they had a refridgarator but, we still servived.

Nice view, rustic feel, and friendly hosts
We enjoyed our stay! Silvia gave us a very warm welcome, and it was nice to hear of the couple's project. My husband and I like to stay off the beaten path, and we were glad to have found this special spot. This is great for people who enjoy camping and feel comfortable with simple/rustic accommodations. The cabin is beautifully constructed and very clean. It has it's own bathroom and a nice porch to relax on a hammock and enjoy the view of the ocean and landscaping. There are several dogs who want to make friends. There is a communal outdoor kitchen with gas stove and wood-fired grill, counter, basic cooking utensils, and a sink. There is also a wood-fired oven you can use, so bring supplies to make pizza if you like to cook! Wood for cooking and fires for your personal fire pit is available for a few pesos. They provide coffee and Mexican pastries in the morning. There are also some restaurants and coffee shops within a 5 minute drive. There is a communal rooftop terrace with beautiful views of the desert and ocean, and wifi is available. The pool isn't really in working order, so take advantage of the beach nearby. It is a beautiful place. We were there in January and the weather was a little cool, so I recommend warm clothes in the winter months as the palapa roof can be drafty. Also, the palapa roof doesn't provide much sound barrier, so please be courteous to your neighbors and keep the peace. This is a nice getaway for the camping kind!
