When in Japan, you never truly expect to have a lot of space in your hotel room, however...this was a pleasant surprise because there was enough room for a queen size bed AND a couch. Came to Kyoto for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here (the free drink during their nightly happy hour wasn't bad either). Oh did I mention, they have FREE laundry service as well? FREEEEEE! I've stayed at their sister property before in Kyoto, but this hotel takes the cake. Just a few minutes walk to Kyoto station and in a more quiet part of the neighborhood. Lastly, when you check in, they ask you if you want your room cleaned everyday--for each day you opt for housekeeping not to come, they refund you 500 yen. I've never heard of a hotel doing that.

Vacation in Kyoto
Vacationing in Japan. Sakura Terrace Garden is a very nice hotel situated close to Kyoto train station and very conventiently locates for accessing public transport for sightseeing in the city. The rooms although a bit on the small size are comfortable and nice. The hotel provides complimentary drinks for guests every evening in the bar/restaurant located in the lobby area. Overall had a very pleasant stay in Kyoto at the hotel. Guests should definitely use the onsen (hot bath) in the hotel as they are very relaxing and refreshing. The restaurant in the hotel serves a good buffet style breakfast and the food at dinner time is also very good and reasonably priced.
