It was a pleasant stay overall. Room was decent and comfortable with everything that you need. The air purifier was a little dirty inside though and the filter was not placed correctly, which we took us a while to figure how to fix it. The housekeeping should pay more attention to this. Public bath was nice and would recommend that you locked your slippers inside because my husband’s ones were taken and he had to walk back to his room barefooted! As the hotel is popular, it’s always busy and crowded.

Enjoyed Kyoto
The hotel was walking distance from Kyoto Station in convenient area. All the stores and restaurants inside the station was great! We enjoyed going to the famous Shrine by local train. Breakfast buffet closed little earlier, so we had to go to the station to eat.

Vacation in Japan.
My son and I stayed in this hotel on our first vacation in Japan. We traveled to Tokyo and Kyoto from U.S. The hotel location was just a few minutes walking distance from Kyoto's central train/subway/bus station, shopping and dining, which was very convenient. The hotel's design was very unique, with an inside courtyard and open to outside. Daily free coffe/tea/juice drinks and free alcoholic welcom drink every evening. And, on a rainy day we could use hotel's umbrellas. Room was very clean and quite spacious (for Japanese standards) with nice balkony equipped with lounge chairs. Beds were comfortable. Nice amenities (including bath salts which were awesome after long days of sightseeing). Restaurant offered breakfast and dinner. Piano was played every night. Fire places, water features and sitting areas in the lobby were very accommodating. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely there again.
