Great staff, great extras
Clean, modern! Close to Kyoto station, which has lots of shopping and dining. Really nice service with many English speaking staff. Breakfast buffet is very good. Complimentary coffee and tea come in ceramic cups (paper optional), something I always appreciate.

Lovely
This hotel is lovely, a bright spot of our trip. A short walk to the Kyoto train station. The neighborhood is so-so, but the hotel itself is very nice. The room was comfortable and clean, not large by US standards but definitely big enough, and much more spacious than the room we had in Tokyo. The restaurant is excellent. The free coffee and free daily cocktail was appreciated, as was the laundry on-site. I would definitely stay here again.

My fiance and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was conveniently located near the Kyoto station where many train lines depart from so it was easy to get to other places within Kyoto. The property was very nice and had cozy fire pits and they had a complimentary happy hour drink for guests in the evenings. The double bedroom was a bit small and a little cramped with our two large suitcases but it was nice that we had a balcony as well. (However, I think hotels in Japan are small in general) I also really enjoyed the bathhouse they had for guests to enjoy. It was a nice way to relax after all the walking around Kyoto.
