Excellent budget-friendly location
Excellent budget-friendly location near the Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori neighborhoods, with friendly and accommodating English-speaking staff. Easy walk to the Osaka Metro Shinsaibashi (5 min) and JR Namba (20 min) stations. Complimentary washer and dryer for laundry was a bonus. It is an old building and was very noisy the one night that a family with 2 small children were in the room above ours, but other than that we were comfortable during our stay!

It was really bad, even though the staff is nice. Our room is on the ground floor. It was really dirty, unlike the pics they show here, we saw dead cockroach's legs on the wall and dead insects inside the air conditioner. We do not dare to turn on the heater cause it is to dirty. We end up change the hostel at 11:30 pm. I definitely not recommend anyone to stay here.

I stayed here with my husband and 2 girls. Location is quiet and close to station, convenient stores, restaurants and sight spot like Dotonbori! And we enjoyed hostel was older Japanese house like Machiya style in Kyoto. It could be backpacker hostel but it’s much more roomy and comfy. Staffs could speak English fluently and very helpful. They helped us info for sightseeing, restaurants, transportation to Kansai airport. They could keep our luggages, so we could enjoy sightseeing until our last minute. Especially I appreciate their last advice and service to us. “it’s traffic time, better taking Nankai Rapeat airport train instead of airport bus. It’s under $10 from hostel to Nankai Nanba sta. by taxi” And 2 staffs helped us to bring our suitcases and find taxi on the street. We’ll definitely stay again!!

The number one word that comes to mind when thinking about this property is "sufficient." There weren't many bells and whistles or gimmicks, but it was a safe, clean, and quiet place to sleep and had all of the essentials we needed.

Good place within City
Overall Review is GREAT This inn is at the centre of Osaka City. 1min walkinh distance to/from Shinsaibashi Subway Station. Also just 10min walking distance to Dotonbori, so if u want late night visit to Dotonbori dont worry about missing a train. You can just relax waljing back to the Inn. 18min walking distance to/from Namba Station, incase u arriving late at Kansai Airport. Just take a Nankai Train from Kansai around 10pm-11.40pm you will can make it to late night Check-In. Owner is very nice, also they keep away from you to respect tenant private time. If you need anything just press button at reception. They also very nice to allowing Late Night Check-Inn, which i arrived last time on 1.10am due to flight delay at kansai Airport. Toilet is shared. Bathroom is at ground floor. Towel is provided. For transportation using Subway to go anywhere. North-South just using Subway line at Shinsaibashi Station. (Osaka Station/Namba/etc) For East-West just using Subway line at Honmachi station. (Osaka Castle etc) Both station is just within 3min walking distance. I going with family which got small kids, so overall just easy walking and transfer to any location. If you want go to Kyoto, just take shinsaibashi to Umeda (which also is Osaka Station) Thank You Overall 10/10, i love this place.
