Great location in the middle of the Myeong-dong commercial area. Hundreds of shops, street vendors and people, as well as easy access to Seoul's great subway system. Exceptionally responsive and helpful staff. On the down side, no vehicle access within 3 blocks of the hotel during most of the day. If you're lugging suitcases, carry-ons or small children, expect an additional hike to get to the hotel. Pretty un-awesome in cold or inclement weather. In addition, the front door of the hotel was not available for our visit, which we didn't find out until we walked 3 blocks to get there. Had to trundle with our bags around yet another block to enter through the back door of the hotel. Would have been nice to know that before we schlepped our suitcases are carry-ons to the front door. Rooms on the small side, but full of modern, high-tech amenities, including heated toilet seat and bidet.
This hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable . We were given a couple of upgrades for vip access . The location is perfect since it’s right in the middle of shopping, restaurants with metro within a 5 min walk. The staff was very friendly and they spoke several languages .
Most of my feeling safety that your staff can speak in Japanese and very nice to give me a Seoul tour information. I really enjoyed To walk distant sight seeing. I’ll coming back.
The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk for the subway right in the middle of the local street food scene. The street is closed off on Friday and Saturdays for pedestrian only traffic (but do watch for the occasional moped or cars that decide to take the street anyway). Great view from our room and lobby. As other travelers mention - the breakfast is extremely expensive and
Clean rooms. Great use of a small space. Staff is touted as speaking English, but it is rough. Their Sky Bar and Lounge is only open for breakfast, which is strange because it's called the Sky BAR and Lounge. Don't eat the breakfast at the restaurant, it's terrible for the price you pay. Equivalent to a free poorly done continental breakfast. Overall, location is right in the heat of Myeong-Dong shopping, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Would be nice if they had room service.
Excellent location! The room was large and clean. Overall, it was a great stay. The bar on the top floor is no longer open.
Solaria hotel was in the middle of the Myeongdong-Dong shopping district, where there are tons of shops and restaurants. We've stayed in a premium triple room so it was spacious with sitting area and a large bathroom with double sink. Staff spoke perfect Japanese, because this is a Japanese hotel and some English. Breakfast Buffett was not cheap at KRW 22000 but had a great spread of western and Asian cuisine. The only down side is that the hotel didn't seem to have room service. Although it has restaurants in the hotel. Also the street in front is not accessible by car so it's a little walk to the main street to get taxis.
Great location for tourists! Easy access to everything tourists look for.
Solaria is in the middle of Myeongdong. No cars can enter the streets between 10am to 10pm. Meaning if you checkin or checkout hotel during this time, you have to carry you luggage and walk about 5 minutes to the nearest main streets.
The hotel was in an amazing location, right smack in the middle of Myeongdong. We got in at the hotel early and as the hotel was full, we did not receive a room upgrade. However they let us check in early, and that enabled us to freshen up before heading out to explore. The hotel room was nice and friendly staff. Overall a very good stay.
