Nice little hotel!
Beautiful hotel. Loved the decor. Front desk service was great and very helpful. It is in a great location in Casco Viejo. You can walk everywhere. However, both our Uber drivers had trouble finding the hotel. We would recommend staying here.

Three Days in Panama
Well, overall it was decent. The best part of course was the location with easy walking all over Casco Viejo and easy Uber drives to all points of interest. The breakfast included was adequate but not great. But the management were very kind and always eager to help. The king bed was actually two twins pushed together and not terribly comfortable. Their is lots of construction going on across the street which is noisy during the day and is quickly obstructing the "view" we paid extra for.

Very Good8.0
Casco Viejo is the place to be
Quiet location at the end of Casco Viejo. Easy access to restaurants and area attractions. Nice, quiet hotel (although furnishings are not to my personal taste).

Great Value - Excellent Service
The hotel is in a great area of Casco Antiguo. There's quite a bit within walking distance. It's safe and clean. The value of the hotel was excellent. The service at the hotel is what made the difference for us. We had an issue with our airline, and the staff was more than accommodating in arranging for calls, receiving emails, etc. They also helped arrange for uber rides, which saved us quite a bit of money. We also appreciated their recommendations and the arrangements for the Canal tour. The decor is somewhat opulent, but dated. IMHO - not necessary, although, my mom, who was traveling with me, loved it - she Skyped her sister in Spain to show her. I would have opted for less extravagance, so that I wouldn't be extra cautious with my 3 year-old son around expensive furnishings. Nonetheless, we were very happy with our stay and the food in the restaurant. One tip about that - the ceviche is excellent. There's a vegetable side dish that my son inhaled. If you can get a picky-eater to eat veggies, then you know you've hit jackpot!

Dreadful experience; decent facility
I booked this as a central spot to crash after NYE festivities. The location is fantastic, and the decor is charming. However, when I arrived back from the dance club at 4:30am (not late by Panamanian standards), the lights were off and the front entrance/lobby LOCKED--I could not get into the hotel! (The clerk who checked me in had certainly NOT mentioned that they would be shuttering the place that night so that guests could not come in/out.) I knocked at the door repeatedly and looked for signs of activity. I called the security number from a small sticker on the door, and the person on the line said they didn't speak English, so I explained in broken Spanish that the hotel was closed and I needed in, and they hung up on me. (I tried repeatedly to reach service team, too, and my call just kept getting cut off.) I thought I would be stranded on the streets of Panama City all night! After half an hour, I saw movement inside the lobby, and banged again, and the person who I think had come in to start cleaning/setting up for breakfast, let me in. I was told that breakfast would start at 7 (uncharacteristically late for a hotel breakfast in my experience), so I showed up at 7 since I needed to leave at 7:30 for my flight. The breakfast wasn't ready; they gave me a tiny bowl of fruit and then I had to leave to the airport. P.S. wifi also didn't work in my room; no cab driver knows where the hotel is; for dinner I couldn't get anyone to seat me despite it being empty.
