Highly recommend!
Excellent stay! Bjorn, the owner, was wonderful. As was Jimena, the manager. Both were very friendly and extremely helpful. Good price for the location. Fantastic cleaning service. Very good breakfast: capuccino/late, eggs to your liking, toast, and fruit, all freshly prepared. Hotel appears newly remodeled, looks very nice inside and out. It was a perfect stay.

Stinky room
We were given a free upgrade to a beautiful suite with a loft. Unfortunately that suite smelled strongly of mold and mildew. We did report it but we're not moved. This is a beautiful hotel and in a great location. Hopefully they will get that room fixed.

Great hidden gem
Beautifully designed and elegant small boutique hotel. Construction in front of hotel as with many places in Casco Viejo but double glazing excellent.

Excellent boutique hotel in the old town of Panama
Very nice hotel, good service, excellent breakfast and very good location in the old town. A bit of noise at night coming from the rooftop terrace, but nothing critical.

Nice, but...
Here's the good: The room was exactly like the picture. Very nice suite, but the ocean view is mostly blocked by the building across the street. Breakfast was perfectly good (4 options to choose from.) The location is excellent for old town. The hotel lost my reservations but somehow still had my room available. I won't hold that against them because I still got my room. The bad: almost no one speaks English and the 2 that do are limited. They had no maps available or any traveler assistance (not kidding). My room was not cleaned during the 3 days I stayed (not even fresh towels - not kidding). And worst of all, the "free" water in the room was suddenly not free if you needed another. The manager told the server to charge me $3 for a new small bottle. I scoffed, so the server apologized and went to refill my empty. No problem. But the manager saw this and told him he couldn't refill my bottle with the ice water - he was told specifically he had to use tap water. Not kidding. I heard "no hielo" with my own ears. The server kept apologizing to me because he knew the manager was being an a hole. Bottom line: nice place but unnecessary cost. There are perfectly good places near for 1/2 this price, and the ultimate burn for me is the rudeness of the manager. Unforgivable. I will not return. Side note: the Bajareque coffee shop next door is excellent. Owned by Elida Estate in Boquete.
