Hotel Dua, Kaohsiung
Horrible front desk
It was the worst experience here after staying for around 50 nights in the past 5 years. I arrived at 10am hoping to checkin early since I had an early flight(offered to pay) but I was told it’ll be one whole night of charge. I mean it’s not their fault but can’t you at least half price it?? Anyways the real problem occurred after checkout when I checked my luggage so I could grab lunch before I took off for Taipei. As we came back to the hotel there was only one person working and was helping a couple checking out or in. I stood behind the couple waiting for my turn. Then as she was still helping out the couple, a guest came from the side and started asking her own questions. The lady working at the front desk told her to wait, and I was thinking to myself at least she knows I’m next in line. But no! Once she finished helping the couple she immediately turned to the guest that cut in line and began helping her. It sounded like a simple question at first but it ended up taking 10min (some sort of reservation issue at restaurants or something). I patiently waited ... guess what another lady started butting in and asked to be helped. Again the front desk told her to wait. And again she began helping her once she was done with the previous line cutter. I would have never expected this happening at Dua since it is more expensive than most Kaohsiung hotels. It totally ruined it for me. That’s why people pay more when we choose hotels! We need the service, and respect
