This was exactly what you would expect from a hostel. It does the trick and has an amazing location!

Edinburgh jewel
Hostel staff are lovely and good people! The room had everything I needed, comfy bed. Only thing that could have made it better was if the window opened for some fresh air as it was a little warm but it is Scotland so not like that’s a common occurrence. I’d gladly stay again.

You take the good and the bed
Although I was only half a block from the a row of bars and shops, my room was peacefully quiet even with the windows open. It was small, but the sheets looked clean and the beds were comfortable. Although I had the room to myself, it was designed for up to three people, with a single bed on top bunker and a queen bed on the bottom. There were two electrical outlets. The USA has a lot of flaws, but is probably one of the most considerate of people with disabilities. You wouldn't have a 7-floor climb to your room. But I guess that's why the room was so affordable, despite being in the heart of the city. The hallway on the floor really stank though. I've got allergies so my nose isn't very sensitive, but I want to say it smells like urine, or maybe it's just dampness. Thankfully, the room was clean and largely devoid of the same smell. The staff were very nice and helpful. I went downstairs to the common area to use my laptop, but the wifi was too slow to load even normal pages. I had plenty of data of my SIM card so I used that for about an hour. When I got back to my room the network seemed to have gotten better for a time.

If you could live somewhere else.
Always a pleasure to visit Edinburgh even if your team isn't in the final. Nice friendly place that doesn't change much except for the new tram system. Visit The Royal Oak on Infirmary Street. Local musicians give of their best. Try to catch Bobby Nicholson or Allan Grant. Around the corner on North Bridge sample the wares of The Piemaker at No.38.
