Hotel Centro Cavour, Rome
Perfect location and amazing staff
This hotel is a stones throw away from the Colosseum and truly central to most of the ancient sites and to top it off the metro is just a 2 minute walk away getting you to many of the other locations and the jumper over to the Termini station which gets you out to the airport. The staff were extremely helpful and very nice going above and beyond during my stay. I wasn't a big fan of checking in at the front desk every time you leave or return but it does eliminate the possibility of losing your room key while trekking around town. The room was adequate size for what I needed including the work desk but the shower was by far the smallest out of my 2 week Euro trip. There was an odd odor in the room which I can't tell if it was from the plumbing system or the A/C but it was tolerable.

A most pleasant stay!
From the impeccably clean room and ideal location to the wonderful warmth of the innkeepers, our stay was flawless! We received excellent dining recommendations and directions...... overall, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. If ever we are fortunate enough to return, we will stay at the Hotel Centro Cavour!

The room was very small in space -however, for one night stay - the room was adequate and inexpensive ,

Fantastic location! Beds really uncomfortable.
The location is perfect. Close to the Metro and the Coliseum and Forums and the neighborhood (Monti) is cool and lively. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the room had a lot going for it (i.e. very clean, nice bathroom, free water and sparkling wine). Unfortunately, the beds were so uncomfortable that it was hard to relax after long days of sightseeing. I’ve stayed in places all over the world with firmer beds or futons, but the bed (two twins pushed together) I had here was probably the hardest I’ve slept on and the dense pillows didn’t help at all. I was here for six nights and tried different positions to make it work, but it was difficult. Also, I had a room on the first floor up the stairs from the lobby and I could hear conversations there into the evening. I got a special deal on the stay, but now I wished I had spent a little more for more comfort.
