This is a wonderful, recently renovated, modern country hotel in a little village in the Chiemsee resort area of Bavaria. Church bells and cows bawling are the background noise. Rooms are roomy enough, very clean, and up-to-date. Breakfast was the best we were served in central Europe on our trip. A busy family-run restaurant next door serves beer and bratwurst meals but also has a salad bar. A few blocks north there is a bakery for lunches and picnics. No rail station here - it is in the next village south.
