A Good Place To Stay On Miyajima
The Ryokan was well situated next to the ferry landing. The room was spacious and clean. They only had one shared shower for the guests if they preferred not to use the public bath (onsen), but we had no problem using it at odd hours. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay there..

I will be back!
The staff was incredibly friendly. It is a quick walk from the port and within walking distance to the Torri Gate and the Misen climbing trails/ropeway. Right within the main area for festival type booths, restaurants, shops, and nightlife. The breakfast was filling and ok.

Good stay - great location
The hotel is in a great location in Miyajima. We were concerned that the island may close down early in the evening, leaving it difficult to find dinner options. Luckily the hotel had a list of restaurants that stay open for visitors. We had a futon room. The room was clean and quiet. The futon was not as comfortable as other futons we've slept on in Japan.

Cozy place to stay.
First time at a Japanese hotel that was more traditional with a futon and tatami mats. The room was spacious and could have easily accommodated 2 other people as there were extra futons and covers in the closet. The futon was okay but the covers were soooo comfortable and warm especially since the weather was fairly cold at night. Very close to the ferry terminal and walking to Torii Gate and shrine was close by. Staff spoke some English and was very helpful. The elevator only goes up to the 4th floor and I was on the 5th so had to walk up a floor but it was fine for me. In the stairway there was a window and on the ledge it had small ornaments on it which was very interesting. The next day I walked down to the 1st floor and noticed each floor window ledge had similar decorative things.

Nice island hotel.
Great cozy hotel. Nice big room to sleep in. Bathroom is typical Japanese size. Only place we stayed in as a ryokan. We weren't big fans but definitely an experience! A little strange you need to leave your hotel key at the front desk when you leave for the day but then again who wants to carry a long stick with them. But great location and great price. Would stay again.
