Nice hotel but very loud. I understand dealing with being in a loud area. However I realized after checking in that much of the sound comes from the hotel itself and its various venues. This seems unacceptable to me.

Beautiful hotel, great service, terrible location
Hotel has fantastic service, hands down. It is also recently renovated and clean. The views from the rooftop restaurant are beautiful. However, the hotel is located smack dab in the middle of a row of night clubs. The pulsing music is extraordinarily loud until 5:00am. Even the ear plugs provided for guests don't drown out the music. The hotel should invest in sound proofing. I am a deep sleeper and the music kept me up. The bed is also a split mattress and the pillows are not all that quality as they have firm, synthetic stuffing.

Dean review
Unfortunately we did nit do enough research before booking this hotel; the presence of late night clubs in the immediate area makes for a difficult sleeping situation. For that reason I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values their sleep. Other than that it was fine...

Dare to be different
The hotel is a boutique hotel. Very minimalistic. Comfortable beds, great roof top bar and beautiful rooftop restaurant. Food was great. The only negative was that the location although it's great for touring Dublin - very convenient to many tourist attractions, the hotel is located in a night club district and if you are a light sleeper you are doomed.

Funky first night in Dublin - excellent restaurant
Convenient downtown location, near Trinity College and shopping. Small, efficient room - we booked a "Punk Bunk" and our traveling teen slept up while we slept below. Space limits in this type of room may mean a stay of more than two nights feels a bit tight. Nicely sized bathroom. Welcoming staff, great advice about restaurants and public transportation. Sophies, the rooftop restaurant, served some of our favorite food of the trip. Reservations likely needed for dinner, breakfast should not require them. Lovely indoor and outdoor views from this space. We stayed over a Sunday night and the nightclub scene, including a club immediately next door, was in full swing until 4:00 AM. The front desk provides ear plugs upon check in and they proved necessary and effective.
