Hakata Green Hotel No.1, Fukuoka
Good location
This hotel was right by the bus and train stations and only 6 or 7 subway minutes away from the airport. It was quiet and just what we needed.

Simple modern design with great location
It was such a pleasant stay. We stayed for 2 nights. Highly recommend the buffet breakfast at Salvatore Cuomo. Nicely designed rooms with good amenities too. But when using the chair & table, need to move the table to another side, otherwise it will block the TV. Location is really convenient too; it’s very close to Hakata Station, but on the quieter side of the neighborhood. Will definitely stay again when we return to Fukuoka.

Excellent location, but had room problems.
A maintenance man apparently decided to play a prank on me prior to my checking in, by turning off the cold water supply to the sink and bathtub. Nothing but scalding hot water was coming out of the spigots, as if to say, "You are in hot water man!" I went to the front desk to report the problem and different maintenance men immediately showed up to remedy the problem by going to the water supply room and turning the cold water back on. While trying to sleep, cool air blew on my face even though the HVAC (Heating/Ventilation/AirConditioning) system was off. I don't know where the cool air was coming in from. The restaurant serves Italian dinners. For breakfast, guests can choose between western and Japanese food. I don't know what is served for lunch. The location is excellent. The train and subway systems are about 150 yards away and there are 3 convenience stores within 100 yards and one is less than 100 yards away from the hotel. I had a single room. If you want to put a laptop computer on the counter, there is no chair to sit on. You have to sit on the bed and put your laptop on, well, your lap. There was a movable small circular table about 18 inches in diameter next to the bed and you can put your laptop on it and sit on the bed. Since the room has no chair and cool air blows on my face while trying to sleep, I don't know if I would stay at this hotel again despite its excellent location.

Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff
We only stayed one night but had not complaints about anything. The biggest plus for us, and we why chose this hotel, was because it was so close to the subway station.
