Good location for short visit in Chicago
Location - Well located near public transportation, restaurants, and must-see sights. Room (Chamber King) - - Size of room: Not big but pretty good size for a weekend stay. - Bath: Both rain shower and handheld shower head, no tub. Note that there's no lock for the shower. - Sleep: Bed and pillows are not as comfy but manageable. Sheets are a bit rough. - There are 2 windows in our room. One is with blackout curtain. However, the other one is a rather thin curtain. The thin curtain is a bit concerning since you can't be sure if people at the building across the street would be able to see your room. Check-in & check-out - The staffs we encountered were all very nice and friendly. If you are arriving late (after 11pm), make sure to call so that they know not to cancel your room. We had a late flight out of Chicago on Sunday. Spoke to the Front Desk the day prior and they were able to accommodate a late check-out (when available). Charges - When checking in, we were asked for the credit card to be charged $200 for incidentals. The charge did show up at the time as pending charge and disappeared a few days after check-out.. Nevertheless, this should be noted clearly on the reservation so guests are aware of this additional charge/hold. It's quite discomforting to be asked to charge additional $200 when checking in without advance notice. A modern hotel that is more suitable for couples and friends, not for families with younger kids.

Great hotel, but very loud as it is right above the train tracks.

Nice room, odd design, sidewalk issues
The hotel is shooting for a fun, sexy vibe, and it was odd to get into an elevator with giant red lips with a cherry painted on it. Maybe I'm just too old but I felt like I didn't really belong here. The bed corner (there is a wooden corner piece meant to be a back support for being seated on the bed) was interesting, but my room was so small it just highlighted to me that there is not really room for a chair. The closet/hallway layout was smart and I could see that being great if 2 people are sharing a room--one person could be getting ready without disturbing the other. Multiple homeless people were lining the sidewalk in front of the building and every single time I came and went I was asked for money repeatedly by multiple woman even followed me for a while and tried to strike up a conversation. She was very persistent and I really thought she was going to try to enter the building right along with me. A different lady yelled at me when I didn't give her money. I understand that this is not the hotel's fault but it did make me very uncomfortable being a female by myself at night and I'm not sure I would stay in this area again unless someone else is with me.

Perfect hotel, but noisy hotel.
Fantastic service based hotel. The employees and staff were awesome. The hotel was clean and fresh with a hip style. The downside was the noise. The “L” ran right by our room on the 5th floor and we heard a lot of noise from the street. Not sure if it is quieter on a higher floor, but worth a try. Although we loved the hotel staff and location, we won’t book here again simply based on the noise from the “L”. Sorry. I wish it were different because everything else about the hotel was perfect!
