So-called four-star hotel.
Pretty much nothing at this hotel works as it should. Room service never delivers your food or worse yet, answers your call. Their restaurant is worse than food stalls at night markets (and way more expensive, too), regardless of what time you dine. Probably it was the only hotel among I ever stayed that I'd rather pay them not to eat their breakfast buffet and get something else delivered so I could actually have something edible in the restaurant. Well, the room itself was fine, except the hallway was full of funky, damp smells--I suspect it's full of mildew beneath their carpet. Oh, and the internet, if you need to get something done online, use your own cellphone. Wireless, wired, doesn't matter. Simply doesn't work. The only thing we liked during our stay was the pool--not because it's well-maintained and designed, but simply because they at least had a kid pool (about 70cm/2.3ft deep). TL;DR: Unless you're travelling with a small child who loves to swim, stay away.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Loved the Japanese style toilets and the breakfast buffet was abundant. We had a room with two separate bedrooms, which is hard to find in hotels. Only con was the lack of outlets. There were only 2 in both bedrooms.

Very nice hotel but the location is a little off the city. There is only one bus here. It only runs five times a day. So transportation is a problem. The taxi fare to the downtown Taitung is NT$200 for a small car. Other than this, everything else is excellent.

Great family hotel
Friendly and accommodating staff. Lots of amenities to explore, but facilities are a bit aged, could do with a makeover. Air conditioning was way too cold. We turned up the temperature, but it was still blowing cold air. Loved the huge, spacious 4-person room. Great view from the balcony.
