Very comfortable, quiet hotel near Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s perched high on a hill, so it is difficult to walk anywhere.

Checked in very late (12:30 am). Only stayed til 5:30. Went to use shower in the morning and the shower drain was clogged and water was up to my ankles. Tried to mess with the drain plug and black debris was then floating in the water. Was disgusting. Mentioned it to person when checking out.

Overall good, but....
The hotel overall was nice, and I am not sure if this is a new trend, but this is the second hotel in this area that I stayed in where there was hair in the shower when I checked it. It almost felt like it wasn't cleaned. I bring leftover wipes from covid, but I am not thrilled with checking in and cleaning a bathroom. It was a nice hotel, and it is possible it was an oversight, I checked in early, but I still felt like the shower shouldn't have hairs in it, like head and body hair, as in hairs, not one random piece. I almost called down, but I didn't, so to be fair, I didn't give them a chance to fix it. I was in the middle of a big project, and it was faster to do it myself. The staff was friendly and helpful. Another bummer was the pool was closed, and the indoor pool was one of the reasons I booked this location, but that happens. They have food on the premises, which is a huge plus, and a small bar.
