The staff were friendly and responsive. The property has a lovely outdoor patio in the front as well as a nice reading nook. It was great the hotel provided guests with coffee drinks, tea and water 24/7 at the bar. Also there is wine in the evening. I love that Tartine is across the street along with a 3 nice vintage and jewelry boutiques. The area was safe and quiet. The cozy rooms were clean and had plush robes and bedding and L'Occitane bath products. It was a definite plus that the fitness room had Peloton bikes. We enjoyed our stay at the Ambrose, and it was conveniently located to what we had planned during our weekend.

Ambrose hotel is a nice hotel to stay at. Great location to the hospital, quiet, friendly staff, and nice rooms. Only negative I would say no restaurant to eat at.

The hotel is very nice and extremely clean. I appreciated the friendly staff and the morning coffee. However, the website should but does not note that they are not serving breakfast at this time. Also, they only clean your room after three nights. I understand there are pandemic labor shortages, but at this price point, I think the room should be cleaned at least every other day. Finally, the room A/C cannot be set below 68 degrees.

The Ambrose is fine, but a few things to note: $35/day parking and even though we found street parking we were strongly discouraged from trying to find street parking; also, there is NO more free breakfast. Further, we had a window that looked out on a narrow alley and then a medical facility- we could see the patients in their rooms. We asked to move to the street side (that being preferable, though on the street), and they told us we could not because we had not booked a "premium" room. So, we paid about $350/night to have a horrible view (we kept our blinds shut the whole time we were there) and were awoken by incredibly loud garbage trucks early Friday morning. The coffee service is definitely low quality, too- basically drip coffee with fake sweeteners. I'd probably go back to the Santa Monica Palihotel, where I've stayed before, next time I'm in the area.

The Ambrose has a lovely lobby which opens out onto a wonderful patio. The staff is great and could not be more helpful. Rooms are spacious and well acquitted. Enjoyed the complimentary happy hour. We did miss what had been a sumptuous buffet breakfast, which was not offered due to COVID.

All the staff were great and very helpful and friendly. Beautiful common area off the lobby. Location is terrific. Only minus is dated plumbing. Water pools in shower due to dip in middle and drain at end. We would definitely go back.
