Interesting Inn - great location
It is very interesting to read the other reviews for this Inn after staying there. I agree with many of the comments. The wine at the wine and cheese happy hour is virtually undrinkable, it is so bad. The breakfast was nice but they didn't refill the eggs on our first morning and I had to ask for tea on the second. The pillows were terrible and the bed linens were just OK. I expected higher quality for this price point. I didn't find the staff to be particularly exceptional. The woman who checked us in didn't offer assistance with luggage or tell us about the roof top deck, which we discovered on our own. When I asked her about the paintings in the Inn she looked at me like I was crazy. The place is filled with ornately framed oil paintings of dogs, boats and birds. I though it was a fair question but apparently there is no story behind it other than they are the owners paintings. The place is a bit dark and gloomy. Our room was nice but it was on the ground floor right on the street and it was very loud until traffic died down, which was very late. Location is very convenient. We walked to everything. Overall it was a nice stay with some minor exceptions.
