Best hotel on Jacksonville Beach, Hands down. The bar on top floor means you don’t risk DUI’s, and folks who like to party have a 100 year old classy joint they can sit and look out into the beach. Thursday nights, if there’s not a private event, they have big bands there in which some of Jacksonville’s top performers play. Staff is courteous and friendly. A note to newcomers: this is not Marriott Courtyard. It’s an old old hotel. Some may say “quaint”. Others will say, “upgrade to 21st century, at least”. You will wait 3 minutes for hot water for your shower, but it’s nothing while you’re scrolling FB messages. The Cable TV only pumps out 480i signal. Think of going to your great grandma’s for an overnight. Face to face/not web, although there’s plenty of internet if you want it. You can tell your friends you stayed at a hotel Al Capone and his gang stayed at.
