Disappointing and overpriced
We expected the resort to be rustic but clean and well run. We were disappointed, especially based on the room prices. It seems like the resort is resting on past laurels. When we arrived, the bathroom toilet was not properly cleaned and there were cobwebs underneath and around the bed. The furniture was tired and well worn. We wanted to be able to sleep with the windows open but there were limited screens and one had holes in it. The restaurant was also disappointing. Dinner was ok but expensive and the buffet breakfast was poor and ridiculously priced(more than in some 5 star hotels that we have visited) Other guests have commented about the animals on the ranch but we noticed that some of the dogs and the ponies were not well cared for. Children around the animals/chickens were unsupervised by anyone from the ranch so the animals were vulnerable to be hurt.

Best stay of our trip!
Part of a 13 day hiking adventure... and what a wonderful place to stop for the night. Our cabin was LOVELY- very well thought out... beds totally comfortable, ice provided (chef from the restaurant himself even went to get it- talk about team effort), we were even given carrots to give to the horses in the paddock next to the check in lodge. Restaurant was in same building (book ahead- it was full for dinner). They even do a campfire with smores on request.

Really cute and well appointed cabins. Lots of natural vegetation and not too close to each other. Would be nice to have screens on the windows to enjoy the cool night air. Had a problem with the air but hosts quickly relocated us to a great cabin.

What a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Cabins were very clean and linens changed daily if you wanted. Watching the buffalo graze in the meadow was great to see. Food at the Cordwood restaurant was outstanding. The drive into Zion was quick and easy.
