Great hotel in a perfect location
Loved our first visit to Deadwood. The hotel was in a perfect location. Everything was amazing. Parking is offsite, about a block away but valet was perfect. They even got our car at 6am the day we left which is an hour early ☺. The only slight negative is that our room was on the third floor but right above the front door of the hotel, which got quite noisy. Especially on Friday night as everyone is out late having a good time but the partying could get a bit loud. If you're a light sleeper or would rather have it quiet ask for a room on the backside of the building. We highly recommend Deadwood as "home base" for a South Dakota getaway and the Gold Dust Hotel and Casino are a really nice place to stay.

Stay here!!!
Best service, front desk was super helpful in pointing out places that are must sees. Warm and friendly. Took care of us marathon runners the morning of the race for our breakfast needs.

Great choice in Deadwood
I loved this hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, Great location. What could be improved is lighting in the room. It was relatively dark and bedside light was dim, making it impossible to read, and maybe a bit more selection at breakfast.

Pros and Cons
An old building updated with modern features. No onsite parking but parking garage is just a couple of blocks away. Room was very small and cramped, but the bed was comfortable. Air conditioner in the room would not cool it off, it was mid April and the days were very warm but the nights would cool off, so once that happened it was better. Windows were so dirty on the outside you couldn't hardly see out. The breakfast was very minimal have seen better.
