Dog friendly, otherwise disappointing
The dog friendly rooms are located at the back of the hotel, which makes them farthest away from Route 1, so a quiet location. The single queen room was quite small but adequate. Unfortunately, it stank of cigarettes despite being a non-smoking room. Also I could hear dogs in the room next to ours despite dogs not supposed to be left in them alone. The filter on the HVAC unit was disgustingly dirty; why do hotels never clean them?? There was supposed to be breakfast but I didn't see it but I didn't ask either. A great location to the shops in Kittery.
